Born in the Midwest, I split my childhood between Paris and Washington, D.C. before attending the University of Chicago, where I graduated with a degree in political science. I currently live in Europe, where I’ve worked for The Associated Press since 2006.
Current areas of interest include cybersecurity, espionage, biometrics, civil liberty, corruption, tax evasion, money laundering, theft, fraud, and terrorism.
